Where do I even start with this one? My first 8 hour wedding in a long time! So prepare for a big write up on this fun packed day. A sweet and very fun bridal party to spend the day with. I was immediately greeted by the bridesmaids before meeting up with Jess who was having her makeup and hair completed. Jess was having her hair and makeup completed by the stunning Jacky Piper who just radiated happiness the entire day - exactly what was needed to make everyone feel comfortable during the getting ready stage. In the other area of the house the bridesmaids were having their hair done by Choa Bella Kempsey and their makeup completed by Cass and Emma from Glamour Beauty Lounge - what a dream team! Ned from Bumpas was in the kitchen starting to prep all the cooking for the evening and it smelt absolutley delicious. I soon made by way towards the barn where the groom and groomsmen were putting the final touches on the decorations. A fantastic job and alot of effort put in by all. Eventually, I followed the guys towards the cottage and snapped a few goodies of them getting ready for the ceremony. A family member helped the men with their ties because lets face it, ties are difficult! I left the guys and made my way back to find the girls all dressed up and looking absolutley stunning, we had to take some time to document this because why not? If you are second guessing having your getting ready stage of your wedding photographed, just do it. It is one of the most beautiful stages to document and keep for years to come.
It was soon time to leave for the ceremony. Jess made her way through the house as we had planned to do a reveal to Jess' dad on the verandah outside. As soon as Jess' dad turned around the emotions flowed, this is one of my favourite parts of every wedding if we have the opportunity to do it. Alan, the celebrant and a family friend, came and instructed us the easiest and best way to get to the ceremony making our lives so much easier. Go time. The ceremony was filled with love and laughs as we heard of Jai and Jess' story together from Alan and listened in on the personal vows they had put together for one another, a truly beautiful moment to just speak all your feelings to one another. The ceremony concluded and all guests made their way to congratulate the beautiful couple.
We made our way through the picturesque gardens that fill Foxes Barn as we captured some sweet moments between the bridal party and the newlyweds. The teeniest amount of sun filtered in here and there as the day was overcast but we got no rain so we called it a win. We wanted to capture some fun on the tree swing towards the bottom of the property, you need to walk through a paddock which has two friendly cows as residents. Tayla, the maid honour, well versed with cattle managed to persuade the cows over for some photos which was great for us. The boys played on the swing which made for some good laughs too!
The reception was lit by fairy lights and good music. The bridal party made their entrance and the party kicked off immediately, starting with speeches we heard beautiful words from family members and friends who congratulated Jai and Jess on a beautiful life together. The remainder of the night was filled with dancing from all. I hope you love seeing these images.
