My first wedding since the covid-19 pandemic swept our nation. A hard year for all couples planning a wedding at the moment. Rodney and Naomi kept their wedding date with all the uncertainty of restrictions surrounding gathering of guests at a wedding. Come Saturday morning on September 12th I arrived at Foxes Barn in Euroka, a beautiful hidden gem in the Macleay for weddings. Naomi and Rodney had complete occupancy of the property. Naomi had been getting ready in the main building on the property with her family and her daughter, Alaiah. Jacky Piper was on site completing the bridal makeup and hair for Naomi. I then ventured to the cottage on the property where Rodney and his family were getting ready for the ceremony. Rodney was joined by his brothers, cousins and friends who were just enjoying some time together listening to some music and having some drinks. I asked Rodneys brothers if they would help him put his vest on for some photos, never have I ever had two guys more willing to pose and play in front of the camera. Some good laughs were had with this group.

Time for the ceremony. The guests had started to arrive and take their seats in the garden area. Trish Johnson was officiating the ceremony and had been coming back and forth between Rodney and Naomi making sure everything would run smoothly for them. Naomi had her aunty fluff her dress up for her before she walked down the aisle to Rodney. Naomi was accompanied by her father and Alaiah as she walked down the Aisle. You could see the emotion on Rodneys face, he was certainly feeling all the emotions as he watched his love walk down the aisle, some happy tears were shed. Trish lead a beautiful ceremony which concluded with all their family and friends congratulating the newlyweds before heading off to the barn on the property for the reception.

I stole some time with Rodney and Naomi before they headed into their reception to capture some bridal images of the two as a newlywed couple. With loads of options among the property we were spoilt for choice for scenery. As we walked around the gardens we laughed and joked, sharing stories and learning about each others lifes. A constant chatter between everyone helps to keep everyone feeling calm and happy.

The reception in the barn on the property was completley set up for a beautiful night. Fairy lights twinkling and outdoor lit seating for guests. Rodney and Naomi had their bridal table set up the front with their initials sitting on top of the table. Not your usual reception for a wedding surrounding the restrictions which needed to be set in place to protect the safety of all guests from covid-19 but the atmosphere was filled with laughter and loves. Everyone was happy and having a great time. I still say it everytime. Your wedding day regardless of how it is spent is always one of your most memorable days. The emotions you feel on a day like your wedding day are unlike any other.
